Durand Eastman Park

Durand EastmanPark lies on the southern shore of Lake Ontario.  Several ponds are connected to the lake by seasonal channels.  this provides habitat for all kinds of animals, from birds to deer.

Denelle and I went up to the park to take pictures of the sunset.  That’s all fresh water in these pictures.  Remarkable, isn’t it?  The Great Lakes make up the single largest reservoir of fresh water on the planet.  I take it for granted sometimes, but it is stunning when I stop to think about it.
