It’s been a long winter. Feels like a year since I got out. So, I went down to Canadice Lake to look for signs of life. This lake is part of rochester’s water supply, so there are no residences on the shores. It’s like stepping back in time, and the only hint that you’re still in the 21st century is when a car goes by on the nearby road.
I’m scheming to get a small aluminum boat to go fishing on Hemlock and Canadice. Boats are restricted to 16 feet and 10 HP, but that’s big enough to bring the dog and troll for lake trout. The finances don’t quite add up yet, but I’m still saving for it.
