Lollypop Latency

I’m having trouble staying motivated, even the simple things that I always enjoy are getting harder to do.  I had to force myself to finish taking pictures today.  i took pictures last week, but never uploaded them.  they sat in my camera until this week.  My weekday existence is so devoid of inspiration that I come home exhausted, and need the whole weekend to steel myself to go back.  I had no idea that being transferred would affect me so profoundly and for so long.

Go forth and find a job that you love, even if you get paid less. You need a change from the stagnation.

    Just DO something!

Reading this post just makes me feel . . . sad.

I wish I knew what to say to you — I know from experience that wasting your time in this way is not the answer. Certainly you have to make a living, but find something else to do — either ‘instead’ or ‘too’.

Join a band. Write a book. Tutor kids. Go fishing! I don’t even know you and I’m SO worried now.

(You posted a comment on my blog about two years ago — which is why I’m peering over your shoulder, now, like a poor-man’s Jiminy Cricket.)
