Tinker Nature Park lies on the border between Henrietta and Pittsford, NY. It’s a museum and nature preserve. The nature park is mostly a hardwood swamp.
As the seasons change, the water goes up and down. The trails are raised, so you don’t have to get wet. Bring along some bug spray. The water can get a little stagnant at times. Birds nest throughout the forest, mostly Red-Winged Blackbirds.
Tinker is also a farming museum. I haven’t had a chance to check out the inside, but there is an assortment of antique farming equipment on the grounds. They have herb and flower gardens near the buildings where the trailheads are.
