Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin died yesterday. I’ll remember him as a man who loved animals and loved documenting the magnificent variety of life that shares our planet.

Thank you. He will be missed by many. His enthusiam. His charm. His knowledge of wildlife. He had so much to offer and was indeed a rare individual.

  2. Manuel Says:

Yes, very sad and tragic. Love that polar bear picture..

  3. Nicola Says:

There are some people on this earth who push the limits of human knowledge and experience. He was one of them and sadly he paid with his life. May he rest in peace.

  4. Randi Says:

I am sad for his children more than him, though.

  5. Sonja Says:

I find it ironic that he took so many risks and survived, but was killed in this freak accident(it’s my understanding that stingrays don’t usually attack unless they’re provoked, and I doubt he provoked it).
He was a conservation crusader and according to the news, his young children were taught by him to be the same.
    Crikey! He will be missed.

  6. Rodney Says:

Steve was kind of kooky but he did so much for the environment and animals. He poured all the millions he made into preserving the wildlife and the environment and I just think we should all pay our respects. He was not just a nationally recognised symbol but international. I just hope that his spirit lives on in many other Australians out there and we all chip in to save the environment form needless destruction.
Peace out and long live the croc hunter.
